They have two in custody suspected of arson.
It looks under control, right?
Can I go to sleep or should I pack my bags?
I'll get emergency stuff and valuables ready just in case, I guess.
This fire on the hill is less than a mile from our house.

"Mom, which would be more fun for me to be: a scientist or a inventor?"
Good question. :-). "Do you think you need to be busy or distracted by the Internet to avoid being bored? Fear of boredom hurts many of us.
If you learn to be mindful, there’s no fear of boredom, because every moment, in any situation anywhere, contains an infinite amount of wonder, new lessons, unforeseen beauty and surprises. You just need to pay attention. There’s no need for distraction, busy-ness, trying to do all the fun stuff that everyone else is doing." From an article about various crutches we rely on: zenhabits.com This is the haircut I was trying for: This is the haircut I gave her: Not quite the same. She looks so different now! This was before: This is after: My boys love the crazy tuft of hair I left. She almost looks like a Chinese hairless crested dog!
Crazy but we love it Flashback Friday We had fun at our little town's holiday parade, even though it rained. We sat under a big tree that protected us. It's special when people and big bees in the parade come over to us. :-) And we love the bouncy houses and rock climbing wall at the festival afterwards.
This year it was super hot, even though it rained earlier. We ran around with a nice boy and his brother. Wow! I took a picture of this vehicle today just after it wrecked in the middle of the afternoon. The police were there, but not the firetruck, ambulance or the electric crew.
This SUV apparently went up on the sidewalk and crashed into a telephone pole! It hit the pole hard enough to break it in two complete pieces! I don't know how the pole was still standing upright on shards of wood but it was! Luckily the electrical wires above were still intact. What a mess! I'll bet that neighborhood will be out of power for awhile. Lesson: don't drive distracted. Dont text and drive No one would mistake my life for being 'perfect' But just to be sure, I will show you my secret room of embarrassment. Those are the embarrassing before shots.
There are no after shots of a clean room yet. I'm having a hard time tackling this room because I don't have a clear vision of what this office/craft/dumping room can be. Part of the problem is: there are a lot of memories in here. Memories that paralyze me with melancholy. Some objects remind me of a fun time we've had. Other object represent a fun craft that we can do someday. Both remind me that time is passing quickly and I want to optimize my son's childhood. I get overwhelmed with deep feelings and then I can't throw anything away or find enough space to put stuff away. I just look at it and move it around. I know that I like the idea of minimizing. A sparse room would be great! Obviously I don't use all this stuff!! Maybe by the end of the year, I will have a room I can be proud of. Wish me luck! ******** Motivating minimalizing quotes: With fewer things to take care of, I have more time to love people Love people, not things. -S.W.Kimball A much less cluttered life, which gives you thought and clarity of vision, makes you feel calmer and more contented. - written by kevin breakingout.net/self-development/how-to-minimize-your-life You are freed from your stuff.
